If you have the venerable Pulsa Jet carb you need a diaphram.

Easy Id on this carb is gas tank is bolted to the bottom of the carb.

Some say the newer blends of gas give more troubles with this. Someone told me briggs has a newer material so try your briggs dealer.

With the magnatron this is the only foible of the older style briggs left. Indestructable little units.
