Better to remove radiator and take to radiator shop for a work over. If it is still fairly sound, they can rod it out, repair all leaks, pressure test, clean, straighten all fins, clean exterior, etc. Flushing will probably be a waste of time and may make matters worse. REfill with 50/50 distilled water and Prestone green. Separate issue is to do complete tune up. I would replace cap, rotor, coil, coil wire, plug wires, ingition wire, points, condensor, plugs; then set dwell/gap and timing. Also check distributer to make sure centrifical timeing advance is working properly; if not rebuild distributer. She will probably run like a top.
