Thanks for your help folks. I really enjoy this site for exactly this reason. As fate would have it, I had a patient in today who works as a mechanic for an equipment leasing company. He gave me some spray called HILCO LUBE. He claims that he can spray this stuff into the distributor cap of an engine that runs in water and it will not fould out. He uses this stuff particularly on a big engine that runs a concrete cutter. As the motor turns the blade, water is run onto the blade to cool it. This water would get thrown up and foul the distributor. He has not had this problem since using this stuff. I will let you all know how it work after this weekend. I do not intend to run down a dust cover for my points just yet. I will try to run it without one. Thanks again for all of your help.
