I may get the year wrong, but I think it was a 1942 or 43 Farmall A that amazed me. The block froze and cracked in the winter of 1964. The whole side of it had a crack 14"-16" long and about 3/8 of an inch of a gap. It was patched with some kind of epoxy that lasted till 1987. Then I ground it out and replaced with JB Weld because it was seeping too much water, and I had no welder available to nickle-weld the block or replace the motor. To the best of my knowledge, it"s still in 1 day a week service with a 72" belly deck mower & a 6" snowplow in the winter. It mows & plows the 8 acre lot & softball diamond in Rising Sun, Md. It was a real Die-Hard, and I"d love to have it here in FL.
