Having had the 4020 and now a 4230, the latter appeared to be a much refined 4020. Simple things like completely changing and relocating the oil cooler (mechanism), the float function for hooking up remotes (very nice), easily adjustable remote flow controls, dual remotes that were designed in, smoother operating controls, beefier front end, soundguard cab, pto lever in dash not on the side, gauges rather than idiot lights for oil pressure and charging ckt, alternator rather than gen, 12v ckt rather than 24 (not that the 24 was bad, it just complicated things), larger tires.....
