Mm, I'd guess you're probably a little high in your estimate of the number of women who keep their maiden name.

My wife did, at my request. She personally didn't care. But since she did business under her name, I thought she should keep it. After years of grief with us having two different names she changed it. Sure has made life a lot easier.
