This happens for the same reason you don't see Fords and Chevy's sold at the same dealership. The manufactures don't want in house competion between competitors under one roof. The same dealer can sell Fords on the left side of the street,and Chevy's on the right side,but not under the same roof.With very few exceptions the Ag companies are doing the same thing.The usual exceptions are the multistore mega dealerships that move 30-50+ tractors and pieces of equipment of each brand per month plus $200,000+ in parts,and the Companies don't want to lose that volume.A small town dealership that sells maybe 15-20 tractors a year and a few pieces of equipment is soon to be a thing of the past.These dealers can't afford to open a second store,to carry parts,stock it,make payroll,on a small volume of equipment,so they pick the one that makes them the most money and go with that brand. Welcome to corporate America!!
