On our 1961 851, there is a small dipstick near your left heel. Fill port right behind seat at high point of differential case; Forget where the drain is but look low. Check the manual , but if I remember correctly the trans, differential & hydraulics all together-hence use hy-tran style fluid. Someone correct me if I'm wrong here cause I was too lazy to dig out the manual. The late 851 & 4-cyl 4000 are about the same except for color.
