Old........depending upon the size of yer stream (and most beavers don't dam big fastwater streams) MAKE A SIPHON outta a long 2ft dia culvert in the form of an "L". The upright part will allow YOU to set the beaverpond depth and iff'n you guard the top, the beaver can't do 'nuttin' to make the pond gitt deeper. Place the long part of the "L" under where the beaver is building his dam and he'll just build right over-itt. Again, depending upon the size of yer stream, you might need to install several siphon's (side-by-side) to handle the water volume. But you can eyeball that 'cuz yer there. (look down stream in an un-dammed section to gitta idea of culvert (siphon) area you need to handle usual water flow volume. Most culverts are designed to be 1/2 full under normal water flow volumes. Simple, eh? and theres nuttin like flyfishing a beaverpond.........Dell
