You can put out anything you want to threaten but if you put a bullet into anyone, they or their heirs will bankrupt you in court. They will probably win because having publicly advertised your intent, it will show that you intended bodily harm for what is little more than a misdemeanor in most states. To me it is reverse defense as well as reverse prosecution. The law is not what we think it is and we can walk around swinging big sticks so long as we don`t hit anyone with one. Just feel sorry for those people along the Mexican border that have bunches of trespassers almost nightly. 17 yrs ago I got run over trying to protect my property from three young gentlemen. Missed two months work, almost 100K hospital bills and my atty fees were over 20K to get off by the hair on my chinny chin chin. They said I scared them and that was fair enough in Washington state. CALL THE LAW FIRST and don`t put yourself in harms way unless it is to protect life. I still have some problems from getting my face hit by a spinning tire and my head bouncing around beneath the car, wheel running over my leg and both shoulders dislocated. I did what I thought was right but wonder if it was worth it?
The moral of the story is if you are going to chase cars don`t try to bite the tires ! It hurts. Ben There
