Hi Thunder, I live in MO. Last year I went through the required course to obtain a conceled weapon permit for MO. One thing I learned that in our state they have what our instructors called the 3 P's. Person, premises,property. You can use deadly force to protect yourself,or your home "inside or out" but not your property. Shooting someone here for trespass is taking your chance with 12 of your peers. But if someone like in the post above is chucking rocks the size of softballs at you I can see where you might see that as a threat to your life. But if he is just throwing back some brews and listening to Merle Haggard then you better let the Law handle it to keep yourself out of the pokey.
