Hi Kurt, We've owned , used and loved our YR-60 for 24 years now. Your traction problem is not the counterweight....It is to keep the tail (seat) down for steering when the deck is raised for transport. Yes, slippage is a problem at times, early season wet grass is really bad, it will improve later this year but won't go away, the tread on the tires is turf tread? So it's not supposed to dig a hole, but it can if the wheels are spinning in gravely soil. My solution is to reach over and pull the handle for the deck and lift it some, this will transfer weight that is being pushed to carried and more traction will be at hand for your Yazoo experience!!!! Slopes are a problem with any machine, be ready with the handle , be carefull going into reverse....it will do a backwards "wheely" and you may loose your balance, but since you have been standing up to correct traction problems anyway you may be ready for something new :) Just be careful, it's a machine.... Check your mower for friction,, grease it well, Ahhhh belts, did they squeel in tough grass? The deck will need to be adjusted out , or away from the tractor, if it's not a PTO drive model....there is a Yazoo mower forum on yahoo groups, if you are really bored....No joke...

The front end center pin bushing was worn also so I ask that they replace it if they had time. Well, that’s wha
