The engine is most likely not sleeved. At most, it may have dry sleeves. In addition to what RAB has said, it is not uncommon to see a Ford engine in excess of 5000 or 6000 hours slobbering oil at the exhaust ports. This is caused by worn valve guides. However, I can't say that I've actually seen them blow oil up the stack. To the extent that they slobber a bit, I wouldn't worry about it. Are you sure this isn't just some water that got down the pipe, softened some carbon and soot up, and is now getting blown out on start-up? It will look a lot like oil. Again, you need to do some more diagnosis before tearing down the engine. If a Ford starts easy and works good, then you have a pretty good sign of a healthy engine. Good luck. Rod
