If i were making an offer for what you describe, it would be more like $1000-1500. You could easily throw a lot more at it fixing it up. I know from experience. I paid 1000 for a 40t, and threw another 2000 in it before i was was through. It does look pretty good though. THe 40S is a more desireable tractor.
