Big Mistake, That is what a bunch of people that live in town would say. Those of us that love and live in the country know why you are doing it and for that we congratulate you on the big step. You will both enjoy your choice. By time you are done with your changes to the place, the value will not be in dollars but pride of making your own tracks.
