I have hauled a couple of combines. Both were Case 600's they are little shorter bit same applies. To move a tractor is one thing but hauling a combine is real adventure. You will need a loader to load the header, you might be able to skid a 2 or 3 row corn head on. Or just leave it on the machine but mine have had 14 foot headers. Wide loads under 14 feet are no problem in Texas. You need wideload signs and flashers. I have thought of moving them with the headers on.... But in the end I have made two trips. I tried to get them hauled for me but that was high $. I use my truck and I rented a gooseneck. Winch them on much less stress than driving them on. I drove one on once and never again... Dropping the tires is good idea. If you are tall you hit trees ect and I tore the manifold up on one... You can get a book at the the truck stops that the truckers use that has the rules and maps for all 50 states an lists all the low overpasses and bridges... I have hauled one from Dallas to Houston and from Central Texas west of Austin to Houston. This summer I need to move one from around Lubbock to Houston. Good luck and have fun. It great you are saving old combines. But they are heavy and catch lots of wind. I have a pre-powerstroke Ford 89 1 1/2 ton and they are a load in head wind.
