Jim, I think you're jumping to conclusions here, saying someone carefull enough to mark down the serial number in the owner's manual would be sure to send the manual with the tractor when it was sold!

It sounds good in theory, but so often a machine is sold after the owner's death, by cold and uncaring relatives, interested only in the $$$$!

That's certainly one reason tractors and manuals get split up!
