William, On the serious side, I lived next to a 15000 acre tree farm that was having trouble with beaver building dams at culverts and flooding their roads. They put large poly pipe in the culvert all the way across and it extended over 15 feet into the pond side. They capped the end and had 3/8" holes all along both sides of the top at 11 and 1 oclock. On the down side of the culvert they had a stand pipe sticking up that would allow the pond side to stay at the same level. Their culverts were three feet or larger and we never saw one of them ever blocked again in over 10 years of their use. If they don`t have a good flow they don`t know where to put the dam.
