Don, I use to fell the same way about the seat saftey switch on my riding tractor, Intill one day I was mowing on a slight grade intill the main drive belt came off, & I started to roll off the hill backwards the clutch/brake didn't slow things down any, any way I could get off of the mower & ending up rolling the thing & it had me pinned under it. thanks to the good Lord & that @#$%ned safety switch I am alive today, other than a few brusises & scrapes I walked away. I just know if it wasn't for that saftey switch I would of been a DEAD MAN. So THINK before if you decide to by pass on of the saftey switches. Dave F.
