On my last employment before I retired I drove a Top Kick with the 3116 Cat and 6 speed manual tranny. I really liked that engine but the transmission was a bear. I would much rather have a 4&2 setup. It was hard to find the slot for the middle shift rail. I thought it would get better with wear but it didn't I pulled a 9 ton DOW goose neck with it. Handled good with any load. Ed
