I did this 2 years ago on a 420JD. Plumbed an old 20# propane tank into the bottom of the block, filled everything to the top with water and heated the tank with a gas burner. The radiator was disconnecteted and the head was off. I drilled a piece of square tube to line up with the head bolts across the cylinder, put steel blocking under it on top of the piston and cranked down the bolts. Worked slick.
