Another possiblity is a leak between the reservior and the pump. A loose hose clamp can let air in, will make the pump hollar and not pump as much. You won't see the leak 'cause it's only air-in, not oil-out.
A word of caution: it may be less covenient to climb over the front bucket to get to the grill and pump, but raising the loader up out of the way and working under it, well....
