the 4500 i worked on only has front pump for backhoe and loader operation..the round thing you are refering to is a filter cover, the filter is under there...the front pump has a shaft from front of motor to pump with u joints on it..don't know where your noise is coming from but change filter see if that helps....have nice day may god bless
