Hayman, the only thing I can say is that o-rings can be an issue for any thing. The problem is with all the technology that this country has accomplished we cannot foresee all the chemical changes that take place when you add your own water to anti freeze along with heat and metal reactence. When you add an unknown such as water from a well which is probably better than city water which has chlorine if mixed with an acetic acid can make a mild HCL (hydrochloric acid) that can eat up just about anything known to man.This discuussion can go on for days.A water conditioner on your cooling system might be a good idea. My two cents.
