Thanks for youall's opinions. I was wondering about the intake. I can't find another one for a diesel, so I guess they are hard to come by. I couldin't tell how they cut the sheet metal. Do you think I will have much of a problem finding one in Central Ky? I would really like to find our old D17, what do you think the chances would be? Thanks for all your help once again. Hurst

Product Review: Lead Substitutes - by Mike Schordine. Lead was oriinally added to gasoline as an upper cylinder lubricant. It lubes the valves and seats. If you rebuild the motor, you could use hardened seats and valves, and unleaded fuel. But if your old tractor runs good, a simple lead substitute added to the gas is a perfectly reasonable solution.
