Bleeding 3208 injectors

What is the trick to bleed Cat injectors without wearing out the starter and batteries?
The filters and pump are hand primed and clear, but it seems forever before any injector line would show fuel.
Any Cat mechanics out there? This is the first one I have worked on, and have never experienced injectors that are so hard to bleed.
