Ford 850 spark plugs

My Champion H10C plugs seem to foul way too quickly. Should I use a different plug?
It has been converted to 12 volt with 12 volt Bosch coil and no ballast resistor.
New plug wires, distributor, points and condensor. Timing is good, I just checked valve lash OK.
Compression: #1 125, #2 117, #3 117, #4 127
Plug #1 not firing and looked black and wet. Plugs changed last year and should last longer than this.
