Well my opinion here. The cali shoot out made for great TV ,,great ammo for gun grabbers . I think the real reson it dragged out was un trained police force . Face it ,,they folded under fire . Automatic pistols and more bullets does not make up for lack of accuracy ! All it required was couple head shots , body armor no problem ! Sure it's easy to armchair QB this when not getting shot at, but why didn't the cops have M16's on hand? In reality all that did was throw more bullets at crooks instead of few well placed shots . The AK' used in shoot out were already banned , in cali ,,and US , Fully auto guns have been banned for long time ! So gun laws really worked there didn't they ? As far as .50 's being used by crooks,,,I doubt they can afford one or the ammo . Plus they are not something you can really carry around all that well . and to shot them and gather yourself up after is well,,,,lets just say ,,"aftershock " lol
