JD Gator 6x4 Dies while shifting into gear

Hello all,
I found a similar post about this topic, and I'm concerned that my gator is in trouble. It will start fine, idles kinda rough (the steering wheel shakes unless you hold it) and will drive for a little bit, say 10 mins or so. Then it dies, and when you start it up it wont shift into foward or reverse. when you give it gas, the drum that the belt is on doesnt move left to right. Any ideas? it only has 800 hours on it.
