Is that the Samson model on the left or right side of that picture? There was a plowing match with the ETD and the Samson way back in those days, I think it was at Festus Grimes' pumpkin farm down in Oklahoma somewhere. No contest, the Samson was never to be seen again in those parts. I think the Joads took that Samson with them to the Salinas Valley in the Grapes of Wrath saga by John Steinbeck but it wasn't allowed across the border because of some quarantine restrictions. Ah, history is wonderful, thank you for reminding me of that.
