This summer I had a territorial misunderstanding with the local coyote. He apparently disapproved of my going into his woodlot with my golf cart and trailer to dump wood and lath torn from the house I'm renovating. I kept finding piles of scat all the way along my path into the woods. Finally, he started depositing right at the coupler of the trailer, where I was sure to discover it. I fixed him. I urinated on each of the piles as I found it. Scheduled a rest stop whenever I took a load of scrap back to the recycling pile. Then there was no more problem. Maybe you need to mark your territory.
