Get yerself a spring powered BB gun (Red Ryder style). DON'T get an AIR GUN or a C02 gun as they can cause damage. With the Red Ryder, just stick it out your kitchen window, and give em a ZING in the rear quarter. They will yelp...and turn tail. Dogs learn pretty quick to make their deposits elsewhere when there are "bees" stinging them in the butt everytime they go to a certain yard. These guns make no discernable noise, will do no harm unless you shoot the dog in the eye, and are pretty darn accurate from a distance of 50 feet or so....if you keep the barrel well oiled. Good luck
