Bondering the thoughts about purchasing a 8970 New Holland. Current one where looking at is a 1995 model with 3500 hrs on it. The dealer has worked on a couple of issues with it. The right brake was giving out and the tractor smoked quite a bit when it was started up. What was found was that the right brake piston had the wrong groove depth cut in for the flat O-ring and they had the fuel pump and injectors rebuilt. This concerns me a little for this many hours. I have heard some good things about these tractors but I do not want to buy a lemon. The dealer printed out a service record on this tractor and it showed nothing else that had been done. What should I look over and/or ask more questions about?? What recommmendation it there to purchase one of these???? Currently they have the tractor priced at 52K.
