Thats been available for at least 5 years now actually. And you can do it with more than google. Just about any search engine.

If you phone number and address is printed in a phone book, its available and searchable online.

The internet makes it easier to do, but before the internet, you can take a phone book, and a map, and accomplish the same thing, it just took more time and effort.

You can also type and search your name, and come up with some interesting things as well.
