Injector line leak

Posting this for a neighbor, he needs the tractor to clean barn, so it's kind of an emergency. He pulled the injectors out of his JD 4240 to have them checked. When he put them back in and got the tractor running, it had a heavy leak between one of the injector lines and the fitting at the top of the injector. I took a look at it, and I can't figure out how to get it to stop. It's almost like the flare at the end of the line doesn't line up to the injector, like the line is bent a tiny bit. I held the flare against it's seat as I tightened down the nut, which slowed the leak some, but did not stop it. We even removed the line and inspected both ends, they are clean and not damaged as far as I can tell. What are we missing? This is very fustrating. It has Bosch injectors, if that matters.
