If you think of SS as an insurance policy, it's a great deal. If you were disabled tomorrow, you be thankful that you had it. Come on now... you don't really want to throw all those poor folks into the street, do you ? That doesn't sound Christian at all. And as for Conservative -- how can burning all that money for debt payments be "Conservative" ? It's sad, but your party has changed. It has become the party of Big-Business, Gangsters, and Second-coming fanatics. It used to be my party too, but I think human beings are capable of doing better. Dug, you sound like a decent person, but I just can't buy into your enthusiasm for dubya.
