Rod - I, for one ,am very grateful for our health-care system. I shudder to think where our family would be to-day without it. My wife is seriously handicapped by Multiplte Sclerosis. At present, she has nursing visits 3 times/week along with 20 hrs of home-care.For 3 yrs she had nursing care 3 times/day , 7 days/wk along with the home care as well. Add to that 2 very expensive power wheel-chairs ,patient lifts, medications and surgical procedures. Since we farm, I have no access to medical benefits so you can see where we would be without O.H.I.P. Sure , I know people like to complain about waiting lines in E.R. etc. but we should be very greatful for what we have. I sincerely hope people don't have to go through what we have in order to appreciate the Canadian system , flawed as it is.
