John Deere highcrops and prices

Howdy folks, Okay, I've got a question for those in the know on this subject. I've been seeing a few highcrops pop up here on YT photo ads and the prices are just mind-blowing to me. Well, I did some digging in a book of mine to see if those high crops are rare (how many were produced). I found out that there were more of those high crops produced than John Deere R tractors. I paid 2500 for that R and could probably sell it restored for around 5000. If there were so many high crops produced then why are they 4 times the price of a restored R when they aren't even restored? Just kinda blew me away. Do you all have any ideas as to why this is the case. Just a curiosity I've had recently. Look forward to your answers. God bless. --old fashioned farmer
