Thanks, I was hoping the 353 would be smaller though because I was thinking of trying to repower a farmall H with one, but I went out and measured the original block and it's only about 11" wide, somehow I don't think a 27" block would look good even if I did modify the frame rails out wider. Yes, I've heard them run as 2 of my neighbors have log skidders with Detroits, 1 is a 353 and the other a 453, they sound awsome, especially the 453.
