You may get different answers to this question. THe 40t i have is a tricycle front. You could get the 40t with a Wide front. THe "T" tractors were designed to cultivate TWO rows. The standard 40 tractors were one row tractors. THe 40t with wide front were also capable of spreading the wheels and stradling two rows back when you cultivated row crows. THe wide fronts seem to be far more desireable now that row crops and not plowed.
