We fought and fought mice /rat problem in old trailer we use for hunting cabin. Tried every kind of trap, they work,,but you have to continualy reset them , and if few days go by you have one big stinking mess . Tried the plug in pest repel deals ,,,I think the mice thought it was soem new music player for them , lol .. Best luck we had so far is Decon ,,,,hardley seen any sign of mice any more. My understanding is that they eat it ,,get real thirsty and go outside in search of water , and die outside . We havn't found any dead mice in trailer yet or have any smell problems. Also I think True value hardware has product called "Rat Away " supposed to work great for keeping rats/mice out of car, equipment , buildingd etc..Havn't tried it yet but might be good idea
