Yee haw, nothing quite beats a snow removal tool like a skidder, just drop the blade down and go, don't have to worry about getting stuck even in waist deep snow. I took foresty in school, they had a JD 440C cable skidder with chains on all 4 wheels, didn't have to worry about getting stuck in snow with that, and even if you did it had that big winch on the back to get itself out. We'd plow a road with it for the tractor on our way out to the woods, just drop the front blade down and go, we'd drive all the way across an open meadow and all the way to the woods like that and never stop. I do miss that.
