We just had the regular forestry blade the skidder comes with. It wouldn't clean a clean strail as snow would shortly begin to pile up over the top of the blade, but it would clear a path well enough the schools 4wd tractor to follow along behind. It had canadian ring chains on the front wheels (some people call them bearpaws) and ice pick chains on the rear. We'd use that skidder in waste deep snow and it wouldn't be bothered, even going up ledges. Only complaint was that skidder was awful tippy, had it up on two wheels quite aften, and once, had 3 wheels off the ground :'))

Was that snow blade something you made?.
