i have had 2 dodge cummins pickups now and loved both first one was a 91 4x4 with the getrag 5sp, it had been used to pull a 20ft horse trailer for 139000 miles constantly when i bought it i pulled a 22ft stock trailer with it till i sold it to my neighbor at 165000 miles and he has pulled a 20ft stock trailer with it constantly for 3 years now and its at 250000 miles and the only thing done to it besides regular maintinence[brakes, shocks, ext] is i had the tranny and transfercase rebearinged at 150000 miles so i would say if you want a reliable puller there a very good chice,i had no chassis problems but the bodys are of the regular old dodge make they bend easy and are proned to fall apart long before the engine and running gear does.i now have a 2001 that i bought new and its been great
