I feel your pain... Keep in mind that a lot of people on this board are familar with tractors and are handy mechanics. While others (myself included) may have just purchased their first tractor. I didn't grow up around tractors so when I purchased my first one 4 years ago (JD 2510) it was a learning experience. The local dealer didn't want anything to do with me which I attibute to not being a local "farmer". I found a local tractor jockey who said that what I need is the 2510 and he happens to have one. On the drive home 25 minutes by car the tractor died about a mile from my house. The c1 clutch went out. Also in the first year the radiator was replaced and the head cracked at a previous weld. Was I taken...probably. I will always wonder if he pieced it together, painted it and sent it down the road. Buyers can only be aware of what they know.
