scrap price for tractor

Found a Case 311 setting in the weeds.I asked the owner what he wanted for it,his reply was,he was told that he could get 600 dollars for it at the scrap yard,sounds too high to me.I would like to save the Case from the torch. The motor needs rebuilt,needs a clutch,tin is alittle rough,needs front tire,and needs some welding here and there.I thought about offering 150 or 200.What is the scrap iron price for a whole tractor??? Also ,what is scrap iron price now for steel???
