Are they turn down, or turn out? I missed the question about the transmission, sorry. Sure want a "new" cub cadet, or "new" anything for that matter? Just seems to me that anything new garden tractor wise, whether it be green, yellow and white, red, no matter the color, is WAY over-priced junk anymore. Doesn't MTD make just about all the drive lines on most garden tractors anymore? No more bullet proof re-buildable cast iron rear ends? If is a garden tractor, sure wouldn't rather tinker with an old Cub or B, or something like that? How about an old cadet even? Slap a new Kohler in it and a new paint job. I'm thinking a nice red Cub or orange B, or the likes. This last summer I saw new green garden tractors at Home Depot for somewhere in the neighborhood of $5K with no frills. Figure a new cadet goes for at least as much. If I knew how to post pictures here, I'd do it, but will post my orange mower under tractor photos (under Mark's mower). I've got less than 1/3 the cost of them new ones wrapped up in mine, and works just fine. But is your money, so... use the 2/3's saved to add more to that Road King. So them pipes? Gonna punch the baffles or what? An engine's an air pump no matter who makes it, and a hog's gotta breath. Punch them baffles right out of the box. Hogs and tractors go well here, if you ask me. Mark

The gentleman no longer farmed because the entire area was developed with housing and light industry. I had stopped several times and knocked on the door but no one would answer. My curiosity was up and I wanted to contact the owner. I wanted to see what he planned to do with the combine.
