Naw..... .you got the right site; sometimes it's a sensible, serious adult site and a lot of times it's not. There's an unbelievable range of knowledge..... .as far as the buick post; some of us just like to yank the chains of the SELF-APPOINTED "topic police"..... .Hang around, you may have found a home.

And influence people. You need to find this book and read it. If you are serious about getting answers to your tractor questions you have come to the right place, If all you are wanting to do is stir up trouble you will eventually get the skillet, and will be banned from this site. Now, if you would like to apoligize, we will forgive you, and then you can ask any question you want. If you stick around long enough, you may even be able to give some answers. Fair enough?

The appropriate word would be US, not WE. Now, would you please stop picking on me? I'm starting to run out of ideas for names to use instead of my real one. LOL

....you aint seen nuthin' yet.....

But the greater issue is why do you feel that YOU have the right to pick on someone else, but are immune to the same kind of treatment?

well enough of this forum i just knew i would get more response with the subject "wrong site" than for my sensible question "transmision problems". i don't know whether the dirt farmer is with me or against me not that it matters. anyway don't worry about my transmision problems because i just traded the tractor for a set of samson pipes for my road king and am looking at a new cub cadet.

dj - Good choice on the Sampson pipes. Makes my V Twin sound almost as sweet as my G John Deere. J

Are they turn down, or turn out?

I missed the question about the transmission, sorry. Sure want a "new" cub cadet, or "new" anything for that matter? Just seems to me that anything new garden tractor wise, whether it be green, yellow and white, red, no matter the color, is WAY over-priced junk anymore. Doesn't MTD make just about all the drive lines on most garden tractors anymore? No more bullet proof re-buildable cast iron rear ends? If is a garden tractor, sure wouldn't rather tinker with an old Cub or B, or something like that? How about an old cadet even? Slap a new Kohler in it and a new paint job. I'm thinking a nice red Cub or orange B, or the likes. This last summer I saw new green garden tractors at Home Depot for somewhere in the neighborhood of $5K with no frills. Figure a new cadet goes for at least as much. If I knew how to post pictures here, I'd do it, but will post my orange mower under tractor photos (under Mark's mower). I've got less than 1/3 the cost of them new ones wrapped up in mine, and works just fine. But is your money, so... use the 2/3's saved to add more to that Road King.

So them pipes? Gonna punch the baffles or what? An engine's an air pump no matter who makes it, and a hog's gotta breath. Punch them baffles right out of the box. Hogs and tractors go well here, if you ask me.

Now, ride that FL in peace with your face into the wind.

Oh yeah, how about an old cadet or wheelhorse with a 45" WL motor? Sure would scoot around the yard. Gotta get one after '36 so don't have to hand pump the oil though.

Mark

Some people are born to B!tch. That is their greatest pleasure in life. You have succeeded in making about 20 people VERY happy! You win a prize! Not everyone can do what you did!

Not everyone is so hatefull and narrow minded. Ask away with your questions, no matter what the subject. (Some of us just like to READ the stuff that the chronic B!tchers write) John
