I'm the wrong guy to ask, but that's a great question and rates a topic of it's own, it's a valid question, and it's not off topic. There are guys here that do concrete for a living, and I'm not one, and can't advise there. The guys putting up a new 40x60 for me right now are going 4" fiber reinforced, except for a bay that's going to have a hoist and it's own seperate thicker pad. I did my own 8x24 pad for a tool shed at 5.5". I got carried away on thickness, and that's why no one pays me to do their concrete - I know squat about it. Post your question, it's not off topic in the least. Mark
