One of the worst ones I ever heard of was the first fords with the S.O.S tranny. I've been told that every ford dealer had to buy one and most that sold that one would end up with it back in just a month or so for work on the tranny.

My model "H" even had the old style fronts with plenty of tread. My "L" fronts were mismatched Sears Guardsman snow tires, which I promptly tossed.
